Reinstalling Internet Settings In XP

Windows XP Network Setup

 

1. Click on the Start button, then Control Panel. Select Network and Internet connections.

2. Select Network Connections at the bottom.

3. Right click on the Local Area Connection associated with your MVTV Wireless connection and select properties.

4. Scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and select properties.

5. Select the radio button Use the following IP address and enter the IP information provided to you when the internet service was installed. Select the radio button Use the Following DNS server addresses and enter the two servers listed on the sheet in your folder.

Preferred DNS Server: 208.2.71.7
Alternate DNS Server: 204.117.214.10

If you have lost this information or do not have the folder given to you, please call 320-564-4807

6. Select OK to save the TCP/IP settings and close to exit the Network configuration screens. Close any other windows open and reboot if the computer indicates to do so.

You should be connected, open a browser and try to go to a web site. If you can’t connect, please call support at 320-564-4807.
