MVTV Wireless wants to say welcome and thank you to all of the new subscribers
to our high speed broadband network. MVTV Installers did 62 New Installations
in the month of January. MVTV Wireless is proud to be able to offer “State
of the Art” Internet and email service to over 1700 homes, farms and
businesses. MVTV’s broadband 2-way wireless solution has proven itself
to be a good solution for high speed internet and email service to a very
rural part of Minnesota.
MVTV wireless has updated our web site and encourages all subscribers to check out the updates on service packages, availability of routers, wireless cards and solutions for home and business networks.
Several subscribers have asked what MVTV charges for service calls. MVTV currently charges a $25.00 minimum service fee for an on site service call. This will cover mileage, repair time and most equipment to repair the problem. Examples of repairs are reinstalling PC settings, enabling network cards, resetting modems and routers, replacing fittings or cables, or replacing power supplies, modems or radios. Other examples may be the wind moving antennas or radios.
If your location has a power surge, storm damage or lightening damage this will be handled on a case by case basis.
The $25.00 service fee represents 50% or less of the actual cost of the service call and is subject to change. MVTV as a cooperative will always try and give the most service at the lowest possible cost.
MVTV Wireless will be starting our 9th Year of providing internet service in April, 2008, and again says “Thank You” for all your support through the past 8 years.

MVTV Wireless is in the process of adding new software on our network to deal with viruses, spam, and unwanted email. It will be managed by a company called Postini. We are going to be adding the MVTV email accounts over the next few weeks. When your account gets added to Postini, you will receive an email directing you to a web link where you can manage your spam mail and spam filtering settings. In the future you can log into this account from MVTV's link's page.
MVTV is happy to add this service at no cost to you. Word of mouth continues to be MVTV's best advertising.
