Proposed Stimulus Project

MVTV Wireless has been notified that its 1.4 million dollar “Proposed Stimulus Project” application has been determined to be sufficiently meritorious to proceed to the next stage of processing. If this application is funded, MVTV Wireless will be expanding its services to 34 more communities in South Central and South Western Minnesota.

MVTV Wireless has completed another Access Point. This is located on a tower about 8 miles north of Benson, MN. This has filled in an area MVTV has had requests for wireless service that was previously unserved.
Stimulus Project Plan Submission

MVTV Wireless has submitted a Stimulus Project Plan through the Broadband Initiatives Program overseen by the Rural Utility Service – USDA. This $1,406,940.00 project proposes to construct 34 additional WIMAX Access Points in 34 un-served and underserved communities adjacent and contiguous to MVTV’s current service area.
