Norseland is in Lake Prairie Township, Nicollet County, located at the junction of Minnesota State Highway 22 and County Road 52. Not far from Mankato, conveniently close to Saint Peter (the County Seat) and New Ulm, this sleepy agricultural community is home to some of the most friendly Minnesotians in the southwest!
According to the National Register of Historic Places website,
Norseland is home to one of Nicollet County’s many landmark structures dating back to the 1800’s… The Norseland General Store, built in 1900 and tracing back to an original store in 1858, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
