You know the saying ‘If you don’t like the weather in Minnesota just wait 10 minutes, it will change.” Well, we’re ready for that change! Mother Nature has continued to pound several areas within our state with high winds and record rain fall. As reported this morning by MPR News ~
“Xcel Energy said the aftermath of the storms created the biggest Minnesota outage ever for the company. More than 45,000 customers are still without power across the state Monday morning. The utility is saying it could be the middle of the week before all the lights are back on.” ~ Tim Nelson, Minnesota Public Radio
During this morning’s broadcast, they went on to explain… Excessive rain has saturated the soil, making trees more susceptible to uprooting. Rather than the usual broken limbs, whole trees are taking out power lines and substations.
