SMB focus on providing education and sharing information on best practices, strategy, tips, tools and measurement for all aspects of social media across an organization including customer service, marketing, public relations and sales. Each Social Media Breakfast sets a specific time and place each month or quarterly for a speaker or panel to share focused, rich content every meeting.
Social Media Breakfast founder Bryan Person is a morning guy. Rising early to get a good start on the day is his thing. So is eating a good breakfast — Mama always said it’s the most important meal of the day, after all!
And on one lazy summer day in Boston in August 2007, Bryan decided to turn the breakfast hour into a gathering of his fellow blogging/podcasting/new-media pals. The morning was a runaway success, with discussions of how agencies could better implement social media programs for clients, the advantages of social bookmarking for business, and the budding popularity of this new “Twitter thing.”
Before the event was over, someone asked, “So when can we do this again?” And Bryan knew he was on to something.
